       Responsible for managing existing strand, design & fiber projects for different

cable companies. Currently in Kochi,India for a 3 months assignment in setting

up design shop with over 50 drafters/designer for training in BentleyComms.

Interface with different clients in defining specs and design requirements and

ensuring that customer’s production schedules are met.

  Summary of responsibilities:

       Responsible for planning current and future needs for Fiber Network CATV/Telephony.

Coordinate with Engineering Manager on CBS (business services) and regular fiber projects.

Updates and maintains fiber design maps and splicing documentation and research fiber

Availability. Obtains approval by supplying costs and justification and other documents.

Obtains fiber optic electronics from Data Engineering after solution such as PON, PRISMA

or CISCO is determined and fiber availability is researched and confirmed. Determines WDM/

CWDM requirements and fiber loss budgets.  Develop plans cost estimates for node splits fiber

build, obtain approval for budget and supplying construction with maps and splice documents.

           Summary of Responsibilities

Supervision of 5 Rebuild Design crew for  field and mapping survey in accomplishing rebuild

of CATV systems in Prince George & Charles Counties.  Implement fiber design planning and

documentation for the whole project including budget preparation and approval. Interface

with business group, headend in determining fiber routes and need for business customers

and interconnects.
